Over 100 Years of Pioneering Aviation
We are proud to trace our company's roots to the beginning of aviation. Formed in 1908, by the Short brothers, the company won the first aircraft production contract for six Wright flyers. That initial contract led the Short brothers to be called "the first manufacturers of aircraft in the world".
In 1989, Short Brothers plc was acquired by the global transportation company, Bombardier. Today we combine our aviation heritage with more than 45 years' experience in direct-to-operator support. Support that keeps you flying.

This site has more than 100 years aviation experience. From design through manufacture to after-market support, Bombardier Aerospace, Belfast provides major aircraft structures and engine nacelles in metal and advanced composites.
Bombardier MRO Services leverages this extensive design and manufacturing expertise to provide comprehensive after-sales support for a range of Airbus, Boeing and Bombardier aircraft as part of the Bombardier Customer Services division.
